YOGA

Why take a private? To discover yoga or deepen your practice and better understand the different layers of this ancient medicine that are not always accessible in group classes. Nanda meets each person’s individual needs, creating a safe space to experience and welcome any emotions which may arise, helping you to let go of what needs to be released.

VINYASA FLOW

This is a dynamic, fluid form of hatha yoga, moving the body from the breath to flow in an attentive way. Students are encouraged to work with their breath, to modify and adjust the poses to suit their individual’s needs.

ALIGNMENT

We explore a wide variety of postures with detail and correct alignment, based on Iyengar yoga. It focuses on flexibility, coordination, balance and strength with poses and positions held for longer periods of time and an ample use of props for safety,

YIN YOGA

It is a slow and more meditative practice, holding the poses sitting or lying, giving us space to tune into the physical sensations and sit with our thoughts. It stretches those rarely – used tissues (fascia, ligaments…) while also teaching us how to breathe through discomfort in order to open up blockages.

YOGA NIDRA

is an immensely powerful meditation technique, one of the easiest practices to maintain that everyone can do. While the practitioner rests comfortably lying down, this systematic meditation takes you through the five layers of self, leaving you with a sense of wholeness.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

By using bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, we hold poses for a substantial period of time seating or lying, centering our breath and body. In life there is a time to push and a time to grind, a time to ebb and a time to flow. If your body and your mind tell you that burnout is on the horizon, you might give restorative yoga a shot.

CONSCIOUS HIKES

Hiking is both a philosophy and a medicine for the body and for the soul. Join Elisa on an unforgettable experience hiking among dramatic volcanic, coral and wild landscapes to discover the island from a new vantage point and uncover numerous hidden gems of the island. Clients can choose from a variety of proposed hikes with a varying degree of difficulty and length.

NATURAL POOLS

Certainly one of the most requested hikes by clients is a hike to one of the two stunning natural pools each offering its own unique charm.

 

Petit Cul de Sac – typically a more challenging trek for adventurous hikers. The hike involves walking along rocky, uneven coastal paths with a challenging descent down an ocean cliff. Once arrived we find ourselves surrounded by two absolutely stunning, aquamarine pools which are ocean fed by the pounding surf. The spot is magical and the pools are cool, clear and utterly amazing.

 

Grand Fond – a roaming coastal hike to the shimmering natural pools which are tucked along the southeastern shoreline. One ventures up and down a rocky, uneven coastal path lined with a variety of native flora and local wildlife i.e abet with roaming goats, lizards and small birds of prey. This serene nature hike eventually leads us to the turquoise waters of the natural pools.

TRAILS

Elisa offers a number of off trails hikes with a varying degree of difficulty. These hikes allow us to delve deep into nature and explore stunning landscapes abundantly teaming with local wildlife, exotic native flora and fauna. Many of the hikes are explorations in uncharted, hidden away areas on the island.

CARDIO

These hikes are for those wishing to get an optimal workout with a strong emphasis on Cardio. Most hikes are “on road hikes” involving steep hill work with the occasional “off trail” divergences. One needs to be in good physical condition and has a desire for a strong rigorous workout.

WANDER

For those predisposed toward a leisurely ramble rather than a full on hike join Elisa on a fascinating historical stroll in and around the port of Gustavia. Learn about the history of the island while also visiting a number of historical sites which represent the islands diverse past.
